MENTAL HEALTH

When it comes to mental

health, we don't have all the

answers, but we'd like riding to have

a positive impact on your wellbeing!

Our Inclusive Riding Sessions cater for students with mental health conditions. They are a chance to get involved in a new sport in a no-pressure environment, with as much or as little support as

you would like.

UoN Equestrian are proud to be involved in the Welfare in Sport initiative! Our sport department recognises the importance of mental wellbeing, and how this can become an obstacle when students are wanting to participate in sports at university.

We have signed a pledge to ensure our club is inclusive and accessible for students with mental health conditions. As part of this pledge, members of our committee will be participating in a mental health first aid training course to improve their understanding. The club will also be participating in Mental Health Awareness week, hosting events to highlight how riding can improve your

mental wellbeing.
