EXPERIENCES

It is an amazing experience in my university life! I am an International student and I feel I am a close member of the club. They have very good team which is efficient and friendly. The most important thing is everyone loves horses and loves equestrian!

The Trent Valley centre is a quite organized and pleasant space to train, while volunteering with the RDA is a lifetime experience. Recommended for mature students!

Volunteering with RDA at Lings Lane has been one of my highlights at Nottingham University. Horse lover or not, there is something very special about the amazing therapeutic benefits these beautiful animals provide. As a volunteer, you are able to build relationships with the horses and the children and nothing is more special than seeing the children smile and enjoying themselves during the riding sessions.

I have been playing horseball for three years now and have loved every minute of playing this exciting sport alongside such fantastic team mates. What's great about horseball is that it combines your love of riding with working closely as a team to pickup, pass, shoot, and score goals in both training sessions and matches. It certainly allows you to let your competitive side out! I have met such a great bunch of people who are both supportive and always up for a laugh, including our experienced and dedicated coach Hayley. These people plus the variety of skills involved makes horseball such a fun and different sport to get involved with- You should definitely come and join us!

Joining the Equestrian club has probably been the best decision I've made since coming to Notts, and the people here are some of the most amazing people I've ever met. The lessons are great (and cheap), the socials have been some of the best (and most embarrassing!) nights of my life, and the trips have been unforgettable. Working with the RDA every week has also been a fantastic opportunity, and the kids, staff, and horses there make it more than worthwhile. This club is an experience to say the least, but also a (not so) little family in itself - I couldn't imagine uni without it!
