BUCS

BUCS stands for British University and Colleges

Sport. It is the national governing body for Higher

Education Sport in the UK.

We have BUCS Equestrian and development teams that compete against 160 different university teams across three leagues.

For more information on our three different teams             visit our page HERE. For more information regarding BUCS Equestrian

you can visit their website HERE.

The competitions involve a round of show jumping (90cm for Championship matches and 85cm for

Trophy matches) and a dressage test. Therefore

riders must be able to execute these two diciplines. Riders should be able to work a horse

in an outline in all 3 gaits and be able to

confidently jump up to and around

90cm/1m.
