ENGAGE SESSIONS

What are Engage sessions?

How do I sign up?

The UoN Engage programme aims to widen sporting

opportunities available to students. No membership is

needed to get involved in the sessions, they are there for those who'd like to try a new sport or join one casually.

Visit the UoN Engage website for information about more Engage opportunities.

We have two different types of Engage Sessions: Beginner Sessions and Social Sessions.

The Beginner Sessions are for people that want to try out Horse Riding for the first time but don't want to commit to a Beginner Block and club membership. You will be taught the basics and have a great time with gymkana games

The Social Sessions are hacks out in Sherwood Forest. This is a relaxed ride suitable for all abilities as long as you know the basics and are comfortable at a slow pace.

When are the

sessions?

Engage sessions are held on Saturdays around every

three weeks. Sessions start at 2pm and are around an hour

and a half long, half an hour for tacking and untacking your

horse, and an hour out on a hack, doing gymkhana races or drill riding.

Dates will be confirmed closer to September!

To get involved join our Facebook group or email us:

riding.notts@gmail.com

You will then be able to sign up through the sign up forms.

Your transport by minibus is provided and will leave from University Park Campus at 1pm on the day of your session. Look out for one of our Engage Co-ordinators at Portland Building Lakeside, they will

travel to the yard with you!

Sessions cost £15 and include transport to and from

the location. You will need to pay for your session

on our SU website and if you aren't able to

make a session you've signed up for,

please let us know!
